A Wimbledon woman went to the ballroom "Strictly" and bravely danced in front of a celebrity group to collect money for charity.
Sandhya Sharma, 34, is HR business partner of the global management and technology company Capco and participated in the campaign for the "Strictly" fundraiser for children.
For eight weeks she trained with a professional dance teacher. After that, she performed a cha-cha-cha, living in front of friends, family and a celebrity group under the direction of strict-star Ed Balls.
Her dance partner was also her 34-year-old colleague Richard Plumb from Cambridge, the managing director of Capco, who encouraged her to join and support the charity.
Sandhya is a fan of Strictly and as a kid she learned a bit of ballet, quilting and Indian dance, but she had never learned ballroom dancing.
He and Sandhya have just raised £ 6,000. This means that they have topped the fundraising rankings, putting them ahead of the ten other pairs. They are still collecting donations and there is still time to support them by visiting them JustGiving page here.
