According to Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool will not sign PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe.
The Reds were linked to the French international, who has already scored eleven goals for PSG this season.
According to reports in Spain, the 20-year-old could replace Mohamed Salah at Anfield, with Real Madrid keeping an eye out for Egypt's winger.
Klopp, who has tried to sign Mbappe before joining PSG in 2017, admits that Liverpool simply can not afford the French sensation.
He said, "At the moment, I can not see any club that can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG.
"And we get involved in the clubs that can not. As simple as that.
"From a sporting point of view, there are not many reasons not to commit him to what a player he is.
"Of course it's about the money.
"No chance, absolutely no chance, I'm sorry I killed this story."
Real Madrid is determined to sign up for Mbappe and Zinedine Zidane is keen on his compatriot.
Zidane has expressed Real's interest in the striker and claims that it is Mbape's "dream" to play in the Bernabeu.
Liverpool flies under Klopp this season. The Reds win 10 and draw one of their opening matches in the Premier League.
They are six points ahead of Manchester City at Sunday's showdown at Anfield.
A win for the European champions would bring nine points after eleven games.
Klopp admits that things are going well for Liverpool at the moment, and Anfield is an attractive destination for world-class players.
He added: "The club is in a very good position.
"As far as the image is concerned, it may have been (always) so, but now I think it's easier to live the life of a Liverpool fan, and that means automatically being able to sign up to the players who are You want to sign. "
Liverpool hosts Manchester City on Sunday afternoon (4pm).
