One Show viewers devise while the Normal People actress accidentally ends the show

The problem with the new series that are available all at once is that there is ALWAYS the chance that someone will ruin it before it comes to an end.

And poor Daisy Edgar-Jones may have been just one of those people.

The Normal People actress appeared on The One Show with co-star Paul Mescal to discuss the phenomenon that is the BBC drama.

The adaptation of Sally Rooney’s book of the same name took viewers by storm, becoming one of the most popular shows on the BBC iPlayer with over 21.8 million fans rushing to watch the 12-part series.

However, not everyone has completed the series, which is still airing weekly on BBC One.

Conductor Alex Jones asked about the possibility of a second series

One Show host Alex Jones asked Daisy and Paul, who play complicated teen lovebirds Marianne and Connell in the series, where they would like to see the characters IF there was another series.

But it seems that Daisy Edgar-Jones’ response completely gave the viewers some play while mentioning what had happened in the final episode.

And the spectators were not impressed.

“#TheOneShow #NormalPeople ‘no spoiler’ You just ruined it!” tweeted a viewer.

Daisy plays Marianne in the famous BBC series

Another said: “We won’t spoil the end of #NormalPeople for anyone who hasn’t seen it, but where do you think it will start if there’s a series 2? Thanks for that.”

“Oh dear, Daisy Edgar-Jones unknowingly ruined Normal People’s end on #TheOneShow,” added a third.

With a fourth saying: “Well done @BBCTheOneShow You just blew up the end of #NormalPeople for those who are still watching on @BBCOne.”

The One Show airs weekdays on BBC One from 19:00.
