James Henry scored twice when Oxford United overtook Doncaster and extended his unbeaten run to eight games.

The wingman's double brought a Cameron Brannagan finish to League One's form team.

The US rushed early as Jamie Mackie parried a shot from close range, shot Henry from 20 yards and shot Tariqe Fosu's right foot against the post.

Rovers almost broke the deadlock when Kieran Sadlier steered Brad Hallgue's cross over the crossbar, but in the break of the first half Henry released a breathtaking drive past Seny Dieng from 23 yards out.

And one minute after the restart, Brannagan shot Chris Cadden's pass for his seventh goal of the season.

Henry finished off Oxford's third 3-0 home win in a row with a penalty, the midfielder's eighth in his last nine games, after Tom Anderson had fended off Shandon Baptiste's cross.

Rob Dickie and Rob Hall also won one-sided.
