Blizzard Of Ozz is the British singer’s first solo studio album OZZY OSBOURNE, recorded in September 1980 after overcoming a personal crisis following his expulsion from the band Black Sabbath due to his addiction to alcohol and drugs. The album marked the beginning of the solo career of OSBOURNE and it is the first of two studio recordings that he recorded with guitarist Randy Rhoads, who died in March 1982 in a plane crash. The album achieved twenty-first place on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States.In 2017, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it ninth on the list of the 100 greatest metal albums of all time.
