Parisian gunman: La Defense evacuated as armed police rush to the scene – “Shelter indoors” | World | news

The Prefecture of Police, which serves the public in Paris and the first crown, tweeted: “Intervention in progress in the # 4temps shopping center which is being evacuated.

“Verification in progress. Avoid the area.”

Salomé Legrand, police and justice reporter for radio Europa 1, tweeted: “According to the police, a man called to report an armed man near the 4 Temps shopping center in La Défense.

“Checks are in progress.”

A Twitter user wrote: “Accident in progress in the district of # LaDéfense.

“@ Prefet92 asked to remain confined in buildings due to the presence of an armed man.”

The news site Le Globe tweeted: “Major police operations are underway in the district of La Défense (Hauts-de-Seine) on Tuesday morning.

“Checks underway, according to police headquarters.

“The station, the square and the shopping center have been evacuated.”

A statement from the city’s metropolitan system said: “Trains no longer mark the stop at La Défense station in the order of the Police Prefecture.”

In response, a user on Twitter replied: “Armed person in La Defense”.

Ligne L SNCF, which tracks real-time traffic on the railway lines, tweeted: “LA DEFENSE station is being evacuated. For more information, bring the agents closer to the station”.
