Police confirmed that a victim of what is believed to be father and son was murdered by double death in a Paisley home.
Officers rushed to Lanfine Road in the Ralston area around 7:00 PM on Thursday April 16 and discovered James Mooney’s body.
The cops confirmed today that the 60-year-old was murdered, but they are treating the death of a 23-year-old, locally named as his son Nicolas, as unsuspected.
A major investigation has been launched, however the police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the accident.
Police sealed off a section of the street, with officers investigating a property in the quiet residential area.
Later on, forensic specialists were seen removing objects from the house.
A full report will be sent to the Tax Attorney.
Investigator Inspector Erin Renwick of the Major Investigation Team said: “After the post mortem examinations, the death of a 60-year-old man is treated as a murder. Now James Mooney can be named and his family has been informed.
“The death of the 23-year-old man is not considered suspicious.
“Although our detailed investigation continues to establish the exact circumstances, we believe it was contained in this house and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
