A police dog helped detain a suspected flasher after a car chase tonight.
Officers reported receiving several phone calls about a man who exposed himself in several locations in Trafford tonight.
They identified a suspect in a car and crashed after a short chase.
It is not known exactly where the search ended, but an image shared by the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) showed a Ford Focus with its front part housed in some bushes.
The suspect was said to have tried to escape after an accident.
However a dog unit was called and they said a police dog named Ted helped them detain the suspect who has now been arrested.
In a post on their Facebook page, GMP Trafford South said: “Following a series of news reports about a male exposing himself through the Trafford district, the officers engaged in a short chase causing the vehicle to crash and a male trying to take off from foot agents.
“Fortunately, the police dog Ted was on hand and was able to successfully restrain the male.
“Many thanks to the public who made GMP calls with vehicle sightings. # BiteOfTheAction # GettingPawsOnWithTheSuspect”
