President Tebboune receives new UK Ambassador to Algeria

ALGIERS – The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune received on Wednesday Mrs. Sharon Wardle who presented him with her credentials accrediting her as the new Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Algeria .

At the end of this hearing, Mrs. Wardle declared to the press: “I was honored to deliver my credentials to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great -Brittany from Queen Elisabeth “.

“During my meeting with the President, I pledged to make every effort to consolidate and strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation existing between our two countries,” she added.

She noted that in the shadow of the global health crisis, “cooperation between countries has become more intensified”, which, she said, made the combination of efforts “a necessary thing to face all. these challenges, to be at the service of citizens and up to the challenges and opportunities offered “.

Therefore, the new ambassador of the United Kingdom in Algeria reiterated the determination of her country to raise the level of the Algerian-British relations, indicating in this direction “we aspire to strengthen the bonds between the two countries”.

Stressing the importance of bilateral cooperation, Ms. Wardle noted the need to “share and exchange experiences and knowledge in several areas, such as trade, security and education”. “We are convinced of our ability to achieve a lot of things together,” she said.

And at the same time to express his gratitude for the welcome he received in Algeria. “I hope that Algeria becomes my second country during my mandate”, she concluded.
