In a move jeopardizing the closure of private schools across the country, the Shadow Chancellor yesterday confirmed that a Labor government would levy taxes of more than £ 1.6bn on them.

It comes after The Daily Telegraph received a leaked shadow fund document stating that Labor is planning a GBP 1.64 billion raid against private schools charging VAT.
