Tony Cascarino believes West Ham United should launch a summer offer for Tammy Abraham as the Chelsea forward faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge, speaking to talkSPORT (April 7, 8.40am).

The Hammers, it seems, are already fully aware of Abraham’s potential availability.

While Marcos Alonso, N’Golo Kante and even Emerson Palmieri have been rejuvenated by Chelsea’s decision to dispense Frank Lampard a few months ago, an England international striker is finding playing time more difficult than ever.

So far, Abraham has started just two Premier League games in Thomas Tuchel’s early era, and was substituted at halftime in both.

With the European Championship only a few months away, the situation is far from ideal.

As a result, . reports that Abraham is seriously considering walking away from Stamford Bridge, reluctant to extend a contract that expires in 2023.

It’s no secret that West Ham are on the market for a new number nine and, if Tuchel is unwilling to give the former Aston Villa loan officer a series of games, don’t be surprised if David Moyes calls him (Telegraph).

“I think there will be a lot of changes in Chelsea this summer,” says Cascarino, a forward for the Blues between 1992 and 1994.

“If I were a club like, say, West Ham, I would definitely go after Tammy. I think there will be several clubs that will try to catch him.

Whether Abraham is the right man for this side of the high-flying Hammers is anyone’s guess.

Stylistically speaking, the slender 6-foot-3 center-forward has more in common with Sebastien Haller than he does with Michail Antonio.

And it has to be said that West Ham has produced its best performances this season with a versatile, long-running leader leading the line rather than a classic number nine.
