The Queen has appointed Countess Howe DL as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant in Buckinghamshire to succeed Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher Bt KCVO when he resigns in November.
Elizabeth Howe was High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire 2010/11.
It is rooted in the life of the county community, being involved as President or Patron of numerous local charities. He chairs Heart of Bucks, the Community Community Foundation, and is Patron of Milton Keynes Islamic Art, Heritage and Culture (MKIAC).
His professional background is in education, which is reflected in his commitment to schools and young people. She was appointed deputy lieutenant in 1995 and supports the county honors committee and the Queen’s Award for volunteering.
Elizabeth is a commander (sister) of the Order of St. John and a member of the County Priors group who has completed her term as President.
Elizabeth Howe is married to The Rt Hon The Earl Howe. They have four adult children.
