Dexter Fletcher explained a planned cross between the movie and "Bohemian Rhapsody"
Rami Malek's Freddie Mercury almost made an appearance in rocket Manit was revealed.
Elton John's recently published biopic was directed by Bohemian Rhapsody Director Dexter Fletcher. The filmmaker took over the successful Queen movie after Bryan Singer was released from his role in 2017.
Fletcher has now spoken of his idea to create a cross between his two films. "At some point, I had an idea where Elton is in a restaurant with his mother," he said Gay Star News, "I thought of John Reid [John and Mercury’s manager] and Freddie could be at another table and they wave to each other!
"That would have been incredible [but] it did not happen. It would have been a bit too knowing … I do not want to create a cinematic universe! "
John Reid is played by Aidan Gillen in Bohemian Rhapsody and Richard Madden in rocket Man,
Meanwhile, Elton John and rocket ManTaron Egerton surprised the fans when he performed together on stage earlier this week. The couple sang an interpretation of "Your Song" during John's "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" date in Hove, Sussex.
In other news, John has recently revealed how rocket Man was "hard" to see as the film delves into the darker parts of its past. "I thought," God, I do not want to go back, "he said.
