Rangers have secured the signing of Zambia Fashion striker Sakala from Belgian team KV Oostende.
Sakala has signed a pre-contract agreement and will join a four-year agreement in the summer.
The 24-year-old has scored 13 goals in 29 Jupiler League games this season to put Oostende on track to qualify for the Europa League. His teammates include Loan Celtic defender Jack Hendry.
Rangers described the forward as “powerful and fast.”
Sakala said on the Rangers website: “I am very excited to begin this exciting journey with the Rangers. It has been one of my dreams, and I feel like this is a dream come true to join the Rangers, one of the best clubs in the world.
“They have a great fan base and a great story, and I think we will share great memories together.
“As a player, you always strive to play for others, that’s the most important strength that keeps me going. I know the Rangers have great players and I am eager to learn from them and deliver.
“In my role as a forward, I know what the club needs from me and what the fans expect. The club has great players and I just want to learn from them and try to contribute something to help the team get results ”.
Coach Steven Gerrard claimed Sakala had the attributes to thrive on the European stage as the Rangers embark on a Champions League qualification push.
Athletic director Ross Wilson feels the capture is a significant step in his planning for the upcoming term.

‘Fashion has had an excellent season’
“He had several exciting clubs that he could move to this summer. But his enthusiasm for joining the Rangers was clear from the beginning of our discussions, “added Wilson.
“Fashion has had an excellent season in Belgium. And we believe it will continue to develop further by working with our entire staff in the boot camp.
“Fashion is a determined, humble and positive guy and we are sure that he will fit in with the group here.
“We wanted to add more rhythm and power to the group during January and summer and I am pleased to have done that, first with Scott Wright and now with Fashion Sakala.
“I know Steven and the coaches are excited to be working with Fashion and I’m sure it will further enhance his growing reputation here with the Rangers.”
