A Stagecoach bus exploded in a village in Gloucestershire tonight after the fire broke out on board.

Firefighters were called into the Forest of Dean after the start of the fire around 8:10 pm, with passengers on board.

A spokeswoman for the Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said they had been summoned to the Mitcheldean incident.

Cinderford crews were on site late at night from Thursday to Thursday to deal with the fire.

A witness told Gloucestershire Live that he heard a "huge noise" in his room and then saw "a ball of smoke" pass through the village.
