Resurrected – Blizzard News

Diablo® II was a public and critical phenomenon that dazzled millions of players with an addictive action proposition and a believable world full of life. Now, more than 20 years later, the great timeless classic is resurrected.

Our return to this iconic legend is about to begin. We are pleased to announce the first in a series of tests, the Technical Single Player Alpha for Diablo II: Resurrected. We know that many of you are dedicated fans of the series and are looking forward to enjoying a game that occupies a very special place in your hearts. But we are also delighted to welcome new players who want to enjoy this great classic. We want to know the opinions of each other to know if we are maintaining the authenticity of the design with the graphic and practical changes that we have included.

Many moons have passed since I left the city of Tristan behind. Since then, I have tried to forget the terrors I saw under the cold earth and the horrible nightmares that have continued to haunt me awake. Now, there is something dark inside of me. I perceive it. Drags me to the east. He assures me that my salvation is among the ruins of ancient kingdoms. Although I know the way, I do not know what dangers will arise to prevent my journey and, as I pass through the first door, I know that the best of my soul will be left behind … forever.

—The Dark Wanderer

Two months ago the legacy of the Dark Wanderer was revived in all of us with the announcement of Diablo II: Resurrected on BlizzConline. In this way, one of the most popular PC games of all time returns to our lives (along with its expansion, Lord of Destruction®). We really want to see the terrifying demons, brave adventurers and other elements of the world of Sanctuary remastered in 4K 2160p definition (with compatible equipment), but, in addition, you will have the opportunity to see the game again with the eyes of nostalgia with just push a button.

The Blind Eye

Players will begin their adventure in the Harpies’ Camp, a picturesque place inhabited by the survivors of the Brotherhood of the Blind Eye, from where they will begin their search for the dark wanderer. However, an obstacle blocks their path: whoever expelled the brotherhood from the monastery of the harpies will prevent you from continuing east. Face Andariel, Maiden of Anguish, in the decisive battle that culminates the Act.

The secret of the Vizjerei

If you are victorious, the chase will continue. To the east is the jewel of the desert, the city of Lut Gholein. However, this commercial enclave is no longer the same thriving and wealthy city of yesteryear and, after the passage of the dark vagabond, it has been infested with evil. At night locals disappear, and it is rumored that there are undead lurking in the sewers …

“I will rid this land of darkness.” -Amazon

The askari, also known as Amazons, come from the Skovos Islands, a forested archipelago located in the Twin Seas. These powerful warriors have created a matriarchal society and roam the kingdom offering their services as mercenaries and fighting evil.

Use spears and javelins to skewer your enemies. With marksmanship rivaling that of the Blind Eye Harpy Sisters, unleash arrows on the demons. With superhuman agility, dodge the most lethal blows. The Amazon personifies skill with weapons, having devoted her entire life to the crucible of war.

“I will face death with my head held high.” -Barbarian

The “broken people” of the barbarians live in the hostile countryside of Sanctuary, along the foothills of Mount Arreat. These burly villagers on the fringes of civilization are the fruit of an unforgiving environment, an endless succession of tribal wars, and a constant struggle for survival.

Taunt your enemies until they succumb to a blind rage during which they will be easier to defeat. With incomparable strength, crush them to death. In savage fury, make the demons tremble in your wake. The barbarian may not be as sophisticated as the civilized city dwellers, but his savage strength is unmatched.

“Watch out, demon!” -Sorceress

Sorceresses come from the Zann Esu clan, an ancient order of women dedicated to the pursuit of magic in its purest form. His entire existence is devoted to study and the task of entering into communion with magical elements in order to reach unimaginable levels of power.

Hand-to-hand fighting is very uncivilized. Smite your enemies with blazing hells. Freeze the demons of the Burning Hells, then smash them into a thousand pieces. Shock your opponents until they submit. Do not think that sorceresses are fragile scholars, because their mastery of the elements gives them an unsuspected capacity for destruction.
