Exit M1 of the M1 south: bridge inspection

The works to carry out a bridge inspection will be carried out on Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19, between 8:00 pm and 6:00 pm every night on the M1 south exit of M1 Junction 13. A clearly signposted detour will take the M1 southbound to Junction 12, Harlington Road, then M1 north to Junction 13 and Bedford Road.

M11, Cambridgeshire and Essex: repairing barriers

This week repairs will be made to damaged M11 safety barriers. Working hours are between 21:00 and 6:00. During this work, lane closures are made.

M40 connection 1 to 15: routine maintenance

Routine maintenance includes the maintenance of minor roads and crossings with two lanes. The works include sweeping, cleaning of drainage, collection of litter, cutting vegetation, white lining, maintenance of street lighting, repair of defects (including defects of street lighting), inspection of facilities including structures and Repair of safety fence.

This work will continue until the beginning of June and the following nights from 20:00. Scheduled reopening times are scheduled for 7:00 am on weekdays and 8:00 am on weekends

On Thursday, March 21st, the exit and entry vouchers at exit 7 will be closed from the main carriage ramp to the A329 exit.

Detour:

Continue north on the M40 and exit at junction 8A. At the first roundabout, turn right and go straight on at the second roundabout and follow the A418 towards Aylesbury. Turn right onto the A40 to return to Junction 7.

On the A40, the shipping traffic will head north until it reaches the intersection with the A418. Turn left onto the A418. At the first roundabout, turn left onto the M40 southbound and take exit 7

On Friday, March 22, the entry and exit ramps for the north entrance will be closed at Junction 11, from the intersection with the main carriageway to the roundabout on the A422 / A361.

Detour:

Continue north on the M40, leaving Junction 12 at junction 12. Turn right and right again to rejoin the M40 south. Head south to exit 11.

The entrance ticket traffic will continue to the south around roundabout 11 on the M40 and exit at junction 10 in the south. Turn right at the first intersection and follow the A43 south. At the next intersection, turn right and at the roundabout turn left onto the M40 north. Head north to exit 11

On Saturday, March 23, the northern underpass will be closed with the M40 at the A40 Denham Road roundabout at junction 1 between the two traffic lights.

Detour:

The traffic will turn at the roundabout at the roundabout of Denham and continue on the other side.

On Sunday, March 24, the southern underpass will be closed with the M40 at the A40 Denham Road roundabout at junction 1 between the two traffic lights.

A1 (M) North between junctions 6, Welwyn and 7 Stevenage: Urgent reprocessing work

Working to revitalize the A1 (M) north between junctions 6, Welwyn and 7 Stevenage starts on Monday, March 18, and lasts three nights with working hours from 9am to 5pm. During this work, traffic will be diverted north via the A1 (M), exit 6, northbound, Welwyn Bypass Road, via the B197 through Oaklands and Knebworth to the Monkswood Way and the A602 to the west before arriving at the intersection Coming back on the A1 (M) to the north is 7, Stevenage.

A1, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire: landscaping

Several sites along the A1, which have recently completed landscaping and vegetation, are being revamped to allow planting and sowing work. This work is done during the day and there are no roadblocks required.

A11, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire: sweeping roads

The road works at various locations along the A11 will be done overnight this week with working hours from 8pm to 6am. During this work, mobile road barriers will be set up.

A12 between junctions 20a and 20b Hatfield Peverel: bridge inspection works

Bridge inspection work on the A12 between junctions 20a and 20b, Hatfield Peverel starts on Monday, March 18th, and lasts six nights. The working hours are from 9 to 5 o'clock in the morning (only in the week). During this work, northbound traffic will be diverted via the A12 20a exit, Bury Lane over the bridge, The Street and B1137 over the bridge to rejoin the A12 at junction 20b. The southbound traffic is diverted via the A12 exit 20b, the road, to reconnect the A12 via exit 20a.

A12 and A120, Essex: repair of safety barriers

An ongoing work program to repair damaged safety barriers along the A12 and A120 at various locations will continue this week with working hours from 8pm to 6am (weekdays only). Single lane closures will be present behind the area being worked on.

A14, Western Junction 41, Risby: Repairs on hot spots

Hot patching will take place this week at the A14 junction 41 in Risby, with working hours from 9am to 6pm. During this work, lane closures are made.

A14, A47 and A11 in different locations: repairs of barriers

Repairs to damaged safety barriers at various locations on the A14, A47 and A11 will be carried out this week with working hours from 9 pm to 6 am. During this work, road closures are made

A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire: significant improvements

Construction work on the new A14 from Cambridge to Huntingdon is under way. We are currently carrying out a variety of tasks for which we assume the closure of carriageways or lanes on the A1, A14 and some rural roads intermittently, usually overnight between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am, unless otherwise stated is specified. There is always a clearly marked detour path for closures.

The strategic traffic is diverted south on the A1198 at exit 24, then on the A428 to the east to rejoin the A14.

A14 between Histon Junction 32 and Milton Junction 33

Drivers are diverted from the A14 at junction 32 of Kings Hedges Road to rejoin the A14 at junction 33

Monday, 18th to Thursday, March 21st (four nights):

A1 north to Brampton Hut to Alconbury

The vehicles are diverted to the east at Brampton Hut on the A14, then northbound on the A14 to rejoin the A1

Monday, 18th to Friday, March 22nd (five nights):

A1 southbound between Alconbury and Buckden

The vehicles will be diverted south on the A14 trunk road, then east on the A14, south on the A1198 and west on the A428 to rejoin the A1

A14 between Ellington Junction 20 and Brampton Hut Junction 21

Vehicles are diverted east on the A605, then south on the A1 (M) to the A605 to rejoin the A14 at junction 21.

Non-highway traffic is diverted east on Wooley Hill, then onto Ellington Road and Wooley Road to the north to rejoin the A14.

M11 intersection 14 exit

A14 west between Six Mile Bottom Junction 36 and Histon Junction 32

Motorway traffic will travel south on the A11, west on the A505 and then north on the M11.

Non-motorway traffic is diverted on the local roads through Cambridge

A428 East Madingley to A14 East Milton Junction 33

Motorway traffic will lead south on the M11, east on the A505 and north on the A11 onto the A14. Non-motorway traffic is diverted on local roads through Cambridge.

Motorists traveling east to reach Cambridge Services and Boxworth must drive to Junction 29 of Bar Hill and return on the westbound lane. Drivers wishing to reach the village of Swavesey must use the local roads from junction 27 or 29

A47, Sutton: Repairing barriers

This week repairs will be made to damaged safety barriers on the A47 to the east of Sutton, with working hours from 9am to 6pm. During this work, there will be a traffic light that will bypass traffic at the work area.

A120 eastbound from the A12 Junction 29, Crown Interchange to Harwich Road, Pellens Corner: Urgent Surface Treatment

Working on the A120 eastbound from the A12 intersection 29, Crown Interchange to Harwich Road, Pellens Corner will commence on Thursday, March 21, and will last two nights with working hours from 8pm to 6pm. During this work traffic will be diverted via A1232, A133, B1033 and B1035.
