Coventry scored her first victory since New Year's Day when Jordy Hiwula scored the only goal of the match in Rochdale.
Hiwula stayed cool in the 68th minute when he scored through the goal and kicked off Amadou Bakayoko to score a decent finish behind new Dale goalkeeper Andy Lonergan.
Towards the end of a terrible first half without quality, Sky Blues skipper Liam Kelly hit a center-back defense that hit Dominic Hyam with a shot, but he failed to hit the ball clean at Lonergan.
After the break, Bakayoko approached as he hit a Luke Thomas Cutback. Callum Camps rescued Dale the day he distracted Lonergan's close range at close range.
Jordan Shipley fired on the Rochdale goal after 62 minutes before the visitors made the breakthrough over Hiwula's goal six minutes later.
They walked for almost a second when a weaving mill and shot by Thomas von Lonergan were rescued.
