Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose urgently recall products due to health and safety concerns

Supermarkets are urgently pulling a number of products off their shelves for fear of health and safety.

Some items have undeclared ingredients that could be seriously harmful to anyone with allergies.

Five products sold by Tesco, six by Sainsbury and others by Waitrose and Oxfam are being tidied up, reports Birmingham Live.

Instead of consuming them, they should be returned to stores purchased for a refund.

A total of 20 lines were recalled in the notices issued by the Food Standards Agency this week.

To get a refund, you will need to return the items to the store from which they were purchased.

Most of the recalls come after fears for health and safety have emerged, from labeling errors to mixtures of ingredients.

Spicy cheese dory

Walkers Snack Foods is recalling Doritos packages, customers have been warned in a new issue of the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

The snack maker Midlands is recalling savory favorites in the spicy cheese flavor.

The FSA reported that the company is making an urgent recall because it contains soybeans that are not accurately stated on the label.

This means that the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a soy allergy.

A statement on the FSA website reads: “If you purchased the product above and you have a soy allergy, don’t eat it.”

The affected batch codes include 06 06 20 GBC 205 364, 06 06 20 GBC 205 363, 06 06 20 GBC 203 364, 06 06 20 GBC 203 363.06 06 20 GBC 202 364 and 06 06 20 GBC 202 363.

The packages concerned have a size of 180 g and have an expiration date of 6 June 2020.

Walkers Snack Foods is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organizations, who will speak to their members about the recall. The company also issued a point of sale notice for its customers.

If you bought the product above and you have a soy allergy, don’t eat it. Instead, return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.

Waitrose hamburger

Waitrose 2 Aberdeen Angus beef burger with red wine and herbs

Waitrose is reminiscent of Waitrose 2 Aberdeen Angus beef burgers with red wine and herbs because they contain wheat (gluten) which is not mentioned on the label.

This means that the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.

Waitrose is recalling the product from customers and has been invited to contact the relevant allergy support organizations, who will speak to their members about the recall.

The company also issued a point of sale notice for its customers.

These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they purchased the product.

If you bought the product above and you have an allergy or gluten intolerance, don’t eat it.

Instead, return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.

U-KUVA i-AFRICA A Taste Of Africa

Just Trading Scotland is remembering U-KUVA i-AFRICA A Taste Of Africa, a triple gift on a precautionary basis, because the bottle caps of Peri Peri Mombasa with 125 ml chilli pepper and the contents can project strongly once the cap is been loose.

This product is sold in-store and online by Oxfam.
