Reigns wants to battle Randy Orton on SmackDown LIVE. In addition to this, Reigns is expected to be on the battlefield. The Viper has off.

Orton has not really featured in the main event scene on SmackDown for quite some time, and any feud with Reigns instantly elevates it into a main event storyline.

The last time Orton and Reigns were featured in a storyline was back in 2014 when Reigns defeated Kane and the former Evolution member in a handicap match. John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship – the night which started Brock Lesnar's dominance.

During that feud, it was Reigns that got the better of Orton after defeating him at Summer Slam.

Now that Reigns has been cementing SmackDown as the show to watch, and with the move to Fox looming, Orton is out of the slump.
