Bastian Schweinsteiger, Bayern Munich legend, has unveiled its Team of the Year at FIFA 21, where neither Cristiano Ronaldo nor Leo Messi are to be found. The absence of both stars along with some of their choices, such as choosing Henderson over Thiago, have caused a big buzz on social media.
Cristiano and Messi have not been the only players who have missed each other in their eleven. Especially, highlights the absence of current Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcántara, who won every possible title in his last season with Bayern Munich. The former German footballer has chosen Jordan Henderson over the Spanish midfielder.
Schweinsteiger’s eleven is structured in a 1-3-4-3. It starts with his compatriot and former partner Manuel Neuer under sticks, the defense is formed by Marquinhos, Van Dijk and Sergio Ramos. The center of the field is formed by Raphael Guerreiro and Joshua Kimmich in the bands and by Kevin De Bruyne and Jordan Henderson in the middle. In the spear of attack we find Robert Lewandowski, Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappé.
It’s no surprise @BSchweinsteiger’s #TOTY is strong and creative. But what’s your side look like? Be heard: https://t.co/9cCkIYYo87 #FIFA21 #FUT pic.twitter.com/4uHBL1qYmI
