CActivists of change began planning plans for a second week of disruption as Scotland Yard continued to fight to expel protesters from three illegal protests despite the help convened by other constabularies.
Organizers of Extinction Rebellion (XR) announced that they would "step up" their London campaign by focusing Tuesday on Parliament Square, with MPs returning to the House of Commons after the Easter holidays.
Although the metropolitan police announced last night the arrest of 750 people, the protesters boasted that "nearly 50,000 people had registered" to join their ranks since the beginning of the protest, last Monday.
Protesters continued to keep control of the Waterloo Bridge, Parliament Square and Oxford Circus. They are only legally allowed to demonstrate that to Marble Arch.
