A Scunthorpe road was closed after a car crashed into a house.
A police cordon is taking place on West Street following the incident earlier this afternoon
The road was closed between the intersections with Gilliatt Street and Frances Street and Humberside police officers were present on the scene, together with the crews of the East Midlands Ambluance Service.
Police confirmed that the collision involved only one vehicle and it is understood that it crashed into a house.
The driver is believed to have had a medical emergency.
The photos of the scene, near the West Street parking lot, show the police tape at the intersection with Gilliatt Street, as well as cones to warn motorists that they would turn to West Street.
There was also an ambulance on site, where the police had installed screens near the vehicle involved in the accident.
A Humberside police spokesman said: “We are present on West Street in Scunthorpe following a single vehicle collision that was reported to us at 12.50 pm.
“Anyone who has witnessed the collision who has not already provided a statement should call us at 101 citing register 270 of June 25, 2020.”
It is reported that the road will be closed beyond 5:00 pm.
