Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 6359 analyzes were carried out and 790 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 790 new cases, 456 are from Montevideo, 138 from Canelones, 36 from Rivera, 33 from Maldonado, 17 from Durazno, 14 from Florida, 14 from Paysandú, 14 from San José, 12 from Cerro Largo, 12 from Colonia, 10 de Rocha, 8 from Artigas, 8 from Salto, 7 from Tacuarembó, 6 from Río Negro, 2 from Soriano, 2 from Treinta y Tres and 1 from Flores. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 965,579 tests have been processed and 52,163 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 45,881 have already been recovered.

Today 6 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. They are 1 patient from Artigas, 91 years old, 1 patient from Durazno, 44 ​​years old, and 4 patients from Montevideo, 64, 67, 76 and 78 years old. So far there are 569 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 5713 active cases, that is, people who are developing the disease, 69 of them are in intensive care and none in intermediate care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 2,968 correspond to health personnel. 2715 of them have already recovered, 248 are suffering from the disease and 5 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION: The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 51,377. Today 790 new cases and a total of 52,163 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 4 cases were eliminated.
