Epidemiological report:

According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 4,867 analyzes were carried out and 500 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 500 new cases, 262 are from Montevideo, 44 ​​from Canelones, 38 from Rivera, 29 from Salto, 23 from Cerro Largo, 22 from Maldonado, 14 from Colonia, 14 from San José, 12 from Paysandú, 11 from Tacuarembó, 8 from Durazno, 6 from Artigas, 4 from Río Negro, 3 from Flores, 3 from Rocha, 3 from Soriano, 2 from Florida, 1 from Lavalleja and 1 from Treinta y Tres. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 975,750 tests have been processed and 53,310 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 46,845 have already recovered.

Today 9 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. This is 1 patient from Paysandú, 67 years old, 4 patients from Canelones, 49, 51, 79 and 81 years old, and 4 patients from Montevideo, 68, 80, 91 and 91 years old. So far, there are 583 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 5882 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 68 of them are in intensive care and none in intermediate care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 3010 correspond to health personnel. 2758 of them have already recovered, 247 are suffering from the disease and 5 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 52,815. Today 500 new cases and a total of 53,310 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 5 cases were eliminated.
