The Dragon capsule from SpaceX has returned to Earth and lands at 08:45 EST (13:45 GMT) in the Atlantic Ocean.

The test vehicle was part of SpaceX's efforts to demonstrate the feasibility of using commercial vehicles to dispatch American astronauts to the International Space Station.

SpaceX engineers will now read through the data collected from the ship's on-board dummy, Ripley. A flight with real astronauts is scheduled for July.
