Spectators were shocked this morning when Julian Clary makes a bad remark to Holly Willoughby

Julian Clary made a rather blatant remark to Holly Willoughby on This Morning today, leaving fans – and hosts – chuckling.

The writer and performer was on the show to discuss the paperback release of his latest children’s book The Bolds Go Wild.

But the talks soon turned to the usual pantomime period at Christmas.

Holly asked, “It’s part of our family tradition to come and see you at Palladium every year. It’s not yet, we don’t really know what’s going on, can you shed some light on it?”

Julian replied, “We are waiting for our nails pending a directive from the government.

“If they don’t let us know that the theaters will be open at the planning stage, we will miss that boat, so not only the Palladium panto, but pantos across the country will have to be canceled.

“So we’re waiting for the sign because it’s not Christmas without Dick, is it, Holly?”

Holly couldn’t help but start to giggle and even the conductor of the house Phillip Schofield struggled to remain calm for the rude observation.

“Not really. Right, Julian,” Holly managed to stammer.

What did the viewers say?

Those who looked home had also been hysterical while considering mischievous observation.

The rest of the interview hadn’t even been free. Julian began by revealing: “I am a little distracted, I am in my kitchen and there is a man on a staircase outside my window, so if my eye wanders it is because I am looking at dirty overalls.”

He later referred to the worker again when Phil asked about life in isolation.

“Like everyone else, I cleaned everything and emptied the closets, which is why that man is on a ladder as we speak, painting the outside of the house – it’s not just for my personal enjoyment!”

When they actually talked about Julian’s books, it turned out that Holly’s daughter, Belle, is a huge fan and had wanted him to ask her a few questions on her behalf.

“He asked why did you choose the hyenas? He’s interviewing you now!” Holly joked.

“Because the hyenas laugh at the time and I wanted the family to be fun and have a bit of a base in my family in Teddington, not that we were furry or something, but we spent silly lives as a reminder when I grew up.”
