Spokesperson: Donald Trump Jr. Tested Positive for Coronavirus | United States

WASHINGTON (AP) – Donald Trump Jr., President Donald Trump’s eldest son, is in quarantine after learning he has the coronavirus, a spokesman said.

Trump Jr. learned of his diagnosis earlier this week and has had no symptoms, added the spokesman, who spoke on condition of anonymity so he could discuss private medical information.

Trump Jr., 42, is following all recommended medical guidelines for COVID-19, the source added.

He is the latest member of the presidential family to become infected with the virus, which has killed more than 250,000 people in the United States and infected nearly 12 million.

President-elect Joe Biden made President Trump’s response to the pandemic one of the focal points of his recently concluded campaign for the White House, although Trump has not acknowledged the outcome.

The president, the first lady and their son Barron recovered from the infection in October. The president spent three days in a military hospital, where he was treated with experimental drugs. The first lady convalesced in the White House.

Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, tested positive for the virus in July.
