Sport England launches a campaign to inspire people to stay active at home

Sport England has launched a campaign to inspire people to stay active at home during the coronavirus pandemic.

After Prime Minister Boris Johnson has instructed all UK citizens to stay, the Join the Movement campaign offers online home training options.

Olympic champion Greg Rutherford and British footballers Rachel Daly and Millie Bright support the initiative.

Followers can share their experiences on social media using #StayInWorkOut.

“The physical and mental health benefits of exercise are more important than ever, so we need to find new ways to stay active by staying safe at home,” said Secretary of Culture Oliver Dowden.

“I welcome Sport England’s contribution here with fun and innovative ways to keep moving, both through online home training and making the most of outdoor exercise once a day.”

The campaign also encourages people to do one outdoor training session per day and is aimed at people of all ages, including those who want to be active with their children and those over 70.
