SPRINGHILL, N.S. – Members of the 2nd Springhill Scouts have become beacons in the Scouts Canada program.

Three members of the 2nd Springhill Scouts have received the top award in Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts.

Scouts Canada is Camden Rector.

Rector recently received the Seeonee Award, which is the highest honor which can bestowed upon a Cub Pack Scout.

Bradley receives the Scout's Award, the highest award which can be obtained at the scout level in Scouts Canada.

Brookelynn Porter-Welton received the North Star Award, which is the highest personal achievement for a Beaver Scout in the Scouts Canada program.

Daren Bradley, co-ordinator for the 2nd Springhill Scouts, is proud of her accomplishments.

"We have a very successful program. To have three high section awards in one year is amazing, "Bradley said.

Hey so they are looking for more scouts to join their group.

"We have a great group now, but we're looking for more kids to join all the sections," Bradley said.

The troop is made up of Beavers, ages 5 to 7; Cubs, ages 8 to 10; and scouts, ages 11 to 14.
