Star War: Squadrons is getting some good post-launch content help despite EA statements to the contrary ahead of launch, and the publisher has now revealed that it is preparing two juicy content updates for November and December, featuring, among other things, B-Wings and TIE Defenders for multiplayer play.
We’ve already seen EA deviate from its post-launch plans with no content once, of course, in the form of Cosmetics with mandala theme. to celebrate the second season of the television show; The next EA additions, however, will be significantly heavier, starting with a new update next Wednesday, November 25.
It begins by reworking the Fostar Haven single player squad map for multiplayer combat, and it will be available in Fleet Battles and Dogfight modes. “Set in a remote and lawless area of space under the light of twin stars,” EA explains, “this map has been updated from its story mode counterpart to provide a new experience that should fit in well with the other six maps. ”Its action takes place both in crowded shipyards and in open spaces.
EA is also introducing four new ship components as part of its November update, giving fighters and bombers access to the booster extension kit, which provides a full rechargeable boost, while interceptors and fighters receive the new rockets from ions, considered useful against capital ships and flagships. They move at half the speed of standard rockets, but can be used at the same time as other components.
Bombers and fighters receive prototype armor-piercing torpedoes, which deal less damage than others in their class, but can pierce the lead ship and lead ship’s shields, and the U-wing and TIE reaper will gain access to the antimaterial rocket tower. . . “Although this tower is not targeted at enemy starfighters,” EA explains, “it is very well positioned to deal with flagship subsystems, capital ships, and even towers and other resources from enemy support ships.”
It’s certainly the December update, described as “a beautiful and final holiday thank you gift,” that will draw even more crowds, however, with the introduction of a new starfighter for the New Republic and the Galactic Empire. : B-Wings and TIE Defenders.
“These two fighters are as powerful as they are iconic, yet understandably balanced for game purposes,” says EA, “the Wing B will be classified as a Bomber-class starfighter and the TIE defender will be a fighter, each of whom will be capable of to use the components relevant to your faction and class, but they will also come with their own unique skins according to what you would expect of them, such as the B wing with its gyroscope and spinning wings and the TIE defender with its shields. ”
Finally, the December update will introduce custom two-team matches and a custom match browser, allowing one to five players from each side to battle across all seven squad maps in Dogfight and Fleet Battles modes. EA ticket players can handle a variety of restrictions and modifiers, adjusting everything from hull / shield / damage values to capital ship health.
