Needs improvement

Newcastle did relatively well with Bruce last season as the Magpies avoided the dreaded fall to the Championship and maintained their Premier League status.

The team finished 13th in the league table with 44 points from 38 games and above players like West Ham United and Aston Villa and just five points behind Everton.

Magpies are unlikely to be relegated at the end of the current season, but results and performance must be better.

Newcastle is 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 11 points from nine games. The Magpies have scored just 10 goals and conceded up to 15.

Newcastle lost 2-0 to Chelsea at St. James’ Park in the league on Saturday and will meet Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park in London in the league next Friday.
