“Star Wars” Blu-ray Steelbooks can be pre-ordered at jpc.de – UPDATE 2
12.01.2021

In mid-December 2020 we informed you for the first time about the release of the “Star Wars” films on Blu-ray in Steelbooks. The special editions were listed at MediaMarkt for a short time and could be pre-ordered. It turned out that this was a snap shot by the electronics retail chain, because Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment had saved the official announcement of the steelbooks for January 2021. For this reason, the products in online retail have been removed again.

A few weeks have now passed and we are still waiting for the official confirmation and announcement by the US major. The Steelbooks can now be pre-ordered at jpc.de for € 15.99 each. The release will be distributed over two release dates on March 11th and May 6th, 2021 in 2-disc sets. The special packaging is expected to be technically and content-wise identical to the previous publications. We expect the final details to be available shortly. Of course, we will keep you up to date again as soon as possible. Until then, you can secure your own personal copies now. (pf)
UPDATE:
Now it happened surprisingly quickly. The product images of the steelbooks are now final and it is certain that the steelbooks will be identical in terms of content and technology to the products of the “Line Look 2020” series. We have added the official cover artwork of the special editions and all the details on technical features and bonus material of the 2-disc sets to our film database.
UPDATE 2:
Now all “Star Wars” steelbooks can alternatively be pre-ordered again from MediaMarkt.de and for the first time also from Saturn.de. The unit prices for the two electrical retail chains are € 14.99 each.
