The universe of Star Wars will grow on Disney Plus with new series. The first was The Mandalorian, the production that tells the story of Grogu and Mando to find a Jedi who can take care of the little ‘Baby Yoda’.
In the last episode of the new season it was revealed that the series that follows is The Book of Boba Fett and later a new season of The Mandalorian will premiere. Unfortunately, one actress has already been left out of the seventh season.
“Gina Carano is no longer employed at Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to return in the future. His posts on social media denigrating people based on their culture and religion are terrible and unacceptable, ”explained the Lucasfilm spokesperson.
The actress, after this event, broke her silence in a statement that was shared by the Deadline medium. “El Daily Wire is helping to make one of my dreams come true, develop and produce my own movie. I cried and my prayer was answered. I am sending a direct message of hope to all who live in fear of being canceled by the totalitarian mob. I have just started using my voice, which is now freer than ever, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them, ”he explained.
The actress is currently working on a new movie that has yet to be announced.
Outside of The Mandalorian? Fans call for dismissal of Pedro Pascal from the Star Wars series
Do we live in the era of cancellation? Should we take care of everything we publish on the Internet? Working at Disney becomes increasingly difficult, especially if you share opinions on social networks. Recently, Gina Carano was fired from the project of Star Wars The Mandalorian for comments against alleged violence towards Jews in the United States.
“Gina Carano is no longer employed at Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to return in the future. His posts on social media denigrating people based on their culture and religion are terrible and unacceptable, ”explained a Lucasfilms spokesperson about it.
But she is not the only actress in the eye of the storm. Recently, fans have found on Pedro Pascal’s Twitter account an image in which he compared Nazi Germany with measures of detention of children by the United States.
Let us remember that months ago the case of deportation of parents in the northern country was discussed and the children were held in cages waiting for a solution to their immigration status.
Would Disney have to fire Pascal too? Really, considering how strict Disney has been regarding similar cases, we shouldn’t be surprised by the total cancellation of the series.
During the development of phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the case of James Gunn occurred. Initially, he was fired for making pedophile jokes years ago on his social networks but was later reinstated to production after explaining what happened to Disney.
