Regrettable news for fans of the mythical saga of RTS. Blizzard today decided to communicate that stop producing content additional for StarCraft II.
Inside a note in the blog from Blizzard, Robert Bridenbecker who is in charge of Blizzard’s classic games division, explained that they would not continue to make post-paid content, such as Commanders and War Chests. Instead, the team from now on will only be in charge of maintaining the game with fixes or rocking patches.
In this way, Blizzard would be leaving in the freezer any hope of having a sequel. This is also because StarCraft II was not the titan of the sports that the company expected.
