The Secretary of Education in the state, José Alfredo Botello Montes, through a virtual and face-to-face ceremony, inaugurated the new campus of the University of London in Querétaro.
In the act, he reported that higher education in the entity registered an annual growth of more than seven percent in coverage, which is why an enrollment of 95 thousand 818 students is served.
This growth occurred, he said, thanks to the great contribution made by the 82 private universities in the state, such as the University of London, which has already been established for 17 years in the entity, in which generations of well-prepared professionals have graduated.
The head of the state education sector, pointed out that with the participation and participation of the 103 public and private universities of the entity it is possible to reach 47.9 percent in coverage at this educational level, which means 3.4 percent more, in relation to the cycle previous school.
He welcomed the entity to this new campus of the University of London, in the heart of the Historic Center of the state, which will give 200 students the opportunity to study in a first stage, in postgraduate studies, research and continuing education.
For her part, the rector of the University of London, Ivonne Wiener Bercovich, thanked all the support and accompaniment of the State Government, the Secretary of Education and the Directorate of Education to provide educational services in the entity.
In these years the University of London has obtained educational quality certifications and is part of the Education Commission (COEDUQ) of the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (COPARMEX) and an active member of the State Commission for Higher Education Planning ( COEPES), as well as the Federation of Private Mexican Institutions of Higher Education (FIMPES) and the Alliance for Higher Education (ALPES).
In his speech, the campus director, José Antonio Ugalde Guerrero, highlighted that this is the fourth campus of the institution in the state and has three levels, 15 equipped classrooms, cafeteria, computer room, administrative offices, library and parking.
