The 21-year-old man dies in an accident on A465 Heads of the Valleys Road

A 21-year-old man died in a morning accident on Heads of the Valleys Road.

The police were called to the A465, near Tredegar, around 1.15 am on Sunday 8 March.

The accident involved a car – a white Volkswagen Polo – which had two occupants inside.

Gwent police said a 21-year-old man from the Brynmawr area was declared dead on the scene.

A 22-year-old man from the Blaina area was arrested on charges of causing death by dangerous driving. He was released under investigation.

The paramedics of the Wales Ambulance Service also witnessed the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Gwent Police at 101 or through the force’s social media channels on Facebook and Twitter, citing the reference 2,000,084.152 thousand.
