The “black water” wastewater pumped on the beaches of the famous holiday resort unleashes fury – News from the world

The disturbing footage captures what appears to be “black sewage” that runs along a popular tourist beach.

The video was shot by an eyewitness in a hotel near Acapulco beach in Mexico.

They say the apparent outbreak of wastewater lasted 25 minutes, with the footage showing a cowardly black liquid running along the beach and into the sea.

The eyewitness told Reuters: “The constant outflow of black water lasted about 25 minutes, which underwent a lot of pressure.

“It was very stinking water, it made me sick.”

The footage sparked outrage on social media.

An eyewitness filmed what has been described as “black water” flowing on a beach in Acapulco, Mexico

One person tweeted: “Please share this disgusting video with your followers and tag people, celebrities, influencers and media outlets who need to see it and download wastewater / black water in #Acapulco contaminating the water and killing marine life IS NOT RIGHT AND MUST BE STOPPED NOW! ”

Another said: “Thousands of liters of disgusting raw wastewater entering Acapulco bay. By killing the good marine life, I literally hate seeing it. When people pollute the ocean, we are all affected. #Savethereef”

“Enjoy your swimming!” another said. “These are raw wastewater that is discharged into Acapulco bay. Unfortunately, this happens too often.”

But, according to the New York Post, the Mexican state of Guerrero has denied on Facebook that the water was part of the drainage system or the rupture of a waste tank.

The secretariat for the environment and natural resources is investigating the spill, according to Reuters.

The eyewitness said it lasted for 25 minutes

In the meantime, a petition has been initiated which envisages a ban on discharging waste water onto beaches.

The campaign reads: “I am going to cut it to the point, I am concerned not only because this is a tourist attraction, it is also a place where local residents can come whenever they want.

“They can spend a relaxing day on the beach, meeting with their families or even spending time alone with their significant others.

“The fact is that they can’t do it when there are rough sewers that contaminate the bay.

“The smell, the sensation of touching that bare skin doesn’t seem disgusting.

“How would you feel if your local water body was contained in human feces? I bet you would be very upset and disgusted!

“We cannot absolutely forget the innocent animals killed by this. There is only one way to stop it, make it illegal! If we can fill this petition, we can make it stop.”
