The Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) posted online, Friday April 30, the consultation document relating to the competitive tendering procedure relating to the floating wind farm project off the coast of southern Brittany, between Belle-Ile-en-Mer and Groix. Candidates have until July 1, at noon, to make themselves known.
The selection of the winner will take place in three phases. In the first, candidates can ask questions until May 17 to CRE, before submitting their applications. They will then be selected on the basis of their technical and financial capacities. The second phase will consist of a six-month competitive dialogue, planned from September 2021. Finally, the third phase will mark the submission of final offers and the selection of the winner.
The implantation area gradually reduced
In the meantime, the State must decide before May 22 on the continuation of the project and its establishment, in view of the conclusions of the public debate which did not allow a consensus to be reached. The minister in charge of energy must in particular define an area of between 100 and 200 km² within the debate area of 1,330 km². This area will be reduced again during the competitive tendering procedure, “taking into account in particular the results of the technical and environmental studies which will be carried out by the State and the continuation of the consultation”, indicates the CRE.
