Russia has two loyal allies – the army and the navy, which will not allow anyone to dominate the Black Sea. This opinion with FAN shared a well-known Russian military expert, captain of the first rank of the reserve Vasily Dandykin.
The Times, citing sources in the British Navy, reported that the destroyer and anti-submarine frigate of the Royal Navy of Great Britain will enter the Black Sea in May in solidarity with Ukraine. The Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed that London has sent Ankara a notification that its ships will pass through the Bosphorus to the Black Sea in the first week of May.
The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that the entry of British warships into the Black Sea is aimed at intimidating the Russian Federation, in addition, the West is trying to influence Moscow’s course. At the same time, the department recalled the Montreux Convention, which determines the maximum number and mass of ships of non-Black Sea countries, which can simultaneously be in the Black Sea.
Readers of the British newspaper Times commented on the decision of the authorities to send warships to the Black Sea. Opinions were divided. Some say that Crimea is a suitable place for war, others that sending ships to Russian shores is a stupid idea, since Britain will not dare to use them anyway, and Moscow is well aware of this.
“Crimea is generally a suitable place for war,” says the user under the nickname Disgusted Tunbridge Wells.
“It seems to me that our five ships should be in the English Channel and patrol our shores. Rule Britain over the seas, ”said David Grant.

Military expert Vasily Dandykin, in an interview with the Federal News Agency, commented on the UK’s decision to send warships to the Black Sea to support Ukraine. The specialist recalled that the elite of British society died in the battle of Balaklava.
“This is the expected reaction from UK residents. Probably, in part, every Englishman has a nostalgia for the British Empire. They honor their colonial traditions, which are also associated with Crimea. There are many places on the peninsula where the British were. I want to remind you that the elite of British society, including a relative, died in the battle of Balaklava. Winston Churchill… But in England there are also descendants of The Beatles who advocated world peace. They understand that the cruise of the British ships will not end with anything – they will walk around and go home. If the British have decided to go to the shores of the Crimea, then they need to remember the Yalta Conference. The world is still holding on to the decisions that were made at this meeting, ”said the FAN interlocutor.

Also, the captain of the first rank of the reserve told how Russia will respond to the uninvited guests of NATO in the Black Sea. According to him, the Black Sea Fleet is the sole master in the Black Sea region and will not allow anyone to dominate here.
“Unfortunately, Britain nevertheless decided to send two of its ships to the Black Sea, following in the wake of the Americans. I think that with each such campaign, more and more people in the UK will look negatively at the actions of their authorities. Now the country already has a lot of problems associated with Brexit, pandemic, internal separatism of Scotland, Northern Ireland and so on. But for some reason, the British authorities are confident that these two ships, which they sent to the Black Sea, can somehow influence Russia, that, they say, after that the country will become more accommodating. Those days have already passed. If in 1999 the change in the course of Russia and the growth of Russian self-awareness were a timid bell, today there are loud battle bells, which indicate that our country has two loyal allies – the army and the navy. They will not allow anyone to dominate the Black Sea. In my opinion, the Black Sea Fleet is the master there, and all [остальные] – only uninvited guests, ”summed up Vasily Dandykin.
Earlier, the Federal News Agency reported that Sohu analysts have revealed how Moscow will respond to US provocations near Russian borders.
