Leeds United and Fulham are among the favorites to win the championship next season after the games were announced on Thursday.

Both clubs have to pick up after bitter disappointing seasons, albeit for different reasons.

Leeds looked as if he was certain to pick up after a dazzling start to the campaign, before a series of bad results meant they missed automatic promotion.

In a dramatic defeat in the play-off semi-final, they have missed Derby by a total of two goals – and their 15-year waiting period for the return to the Premier League continues.


Fulham immediately returned to the second division despite spending more than £ 100m on new players last summer.

They began to improve under new permanent boss Scott Parker, and if they can keep up with players like Ryan Sessegnon, the cottagers will be hard to beat.
