The Chosen of Glory –

In the next few weeks (still without an official confirmation date), “Los Elegido de la Gloria” (The Right Stuff) will premiere in Latin America, the new series that comes to Disney Plus produced by National Geographic, and with renowned actors such as Patrick J. Adams, who played the role of Mike Ross in the series “Suits”, where he played a fake lawyer who had an intense affair with actress Meghan Markle , current Duchess of Sussex.

The series has already premiered in the United States, and will do so shortly in Latin America, although the official date has yet to be defined.

Based on Tom Wolfe’s best-selling book, the eight-episode season is an inspiring look at the early days of America’s space program and the iconic story of the first American astronauts, on the Mercury 7.

Produced for National Geographic by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way and Warner Bros. Television, “The Right Stuff” takes a look at America’s first ever “reality show,” when ambitious astronauts and their families instantly became celebrities in a competition of money, fame and immortality.

At the height of the Cold War in 1959, the United States fears being a nation in decline as the Soviet Union dominates the space race. But the US government has a solution: put a man in space. The newly formed NASA is given the monumental task, and a group of the nation’s best engineers estimate it will take decades to accomplish the feat… but they only have two years.

This is the trailer for “The Chosen of Glory.”
