BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) – It is now illegal to feed ducks and geese in the city of Bristol, Virginia.

City Council passed the order tonight by a 5-0 vote.

The ordinance will come into effect in 30 days and is only applicable in an area with a billboard.

If you are caught, the fine will be $ 50.

The Council said some of the city's most populated duck areas include Cumberland Square Park, near downtown, and the Eastern Little League field.
