The Dashcam clip shows that BMW drivers lose control and crash into heavy vehicles

A terrifying video shows a driver who gets out of control and crashes into a heavy vehicle after passing another truck.

The BMW driver ignores the danger signs to run past the truck and then cut ahead before accelerating.

But the motorist unlocks himself as he loses control of a curve and crashes sideways into an HGV on the other side.

Fortunately, the HGV driver was able to reduce his speed before the impact and the driver is thought to have escaped unharmed.

But his guide earned him a £ 400 fine and five points on his license to Poole Magistrates Court, Dorset, revealed by police on Sunday.

Dorset traffic police said the accident occurred last summer in Gravel Hill, Poole, but has only recently come to court.

Police released the clip on social media, warning: “It’s real life. Not a video game. We only have one. Don’t risk throwing it away.”

A photograph taken on the scene shows the serious damage caused to BMW. The entire left side of the car was destroyed on impact.

The driver and passenger who were in the truck that hit the car spoke of their ordeal.

HGV driver Frances Ray-Williams, 55, of Birmingham, believes that the driver has come down free and is still waiting for an apology.

He said, “He should have lost his driver’s license. He is a lucky man because I could see what was going on, so I stopped my vehicle.

“I think he ran free, at the moment he showed no remorse, he never even apologized, and I’m still waiting for an apology.”

Frances said the accident had a profound impact on her life.

He added: “My marriage broke because of it, I suffered a lot of stress from the accident. He knows the trauma that caused me.”

Her husband, Stephen Ray-Williams, said, “If we hadn’t been in that truck at the time, the two girls in the car behind us would have been killed. We had stopped because I knew it would hit us.”
