New London – Developers Irwin and Robert Stillman presented a $ 5,000 donation to the New London Area Food Pantry on Thursday.
The donation will fund the creation of pre-packaged relief kits for families in New London affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and will include pasta, cereals, soup, rice, flour and other essential foods.
The donation comes at a time when food banks are under incredible monetary strain due to the global pandemic.
“We wanted to do something good in these uncertain times,” said Irwin Stillman. “We have an office in Westport, Connecticut. Connecticut is part of our family. As third generation builders and developers, we understand how important the family is and we wanted to do something to help Connecticut families eat healthily during this crisis. “
