The Arsenal proposes an exchange with him Inter de Milan that involves Christian Eriksen y Granit Xhaka, according to a report from Italy.
Corriere dello Sport reports that Arsenal are proposing to trade Granit Xhaka for Inter Milan, and former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Porzio adds that the player could well leave Inter in January, with many Premier League clubs interested in him. He is unhappy with his current situation at the club, less than a year after joining.
The Spurs sold Eriksen to Inter this January, and he has made 33 appearances since then. But only 15 of those were starts, and he’s completed 90 minutes just four times.
There is a feeling that he does not get along with Antonio Conte, and perhaps he does not fit into the Italian coach’s system.
Eriksen wants to return to the Premier League
With Denmark, Eriksen seems much more comfortable. In the last two international breaks, he has scored five goals in five games. Four were from the penalty spot, but even so, he is earning accolades with his country that he is not receiving in Italy.
Most of us are already well aware of the player’s performances in England since 305 Spurs appearances, so the 28-year-old is a known number. It is also not entirely out of the question for Xhaka to leave, with his role at Arsenal in doubt after Partey’s arrival.
Francesco Porzio is a trustworthy source so I’m confident Eriksen is considering leaving, but the Corriere dello Sport is much more unpredictable. We’ll see if Arsenal really try to make Eriksen the next Sol Campbell in January.
Without a doubt, it would be an exchange that would favor all parties and that would give both teams a leap in quality in different areas of the field.
