The extraordinary transfer theory of Arsenal fans to seal the deals of Thomas Partey and Luka Jovic and save £ 73.8 million

Arsenal will have to be noticed in the next summer transfer window.

And a fan in particular has a brilliant theory for doing exactly that, while saving some money at the club and significantly strengthening the team of Mikel Arteta’s first team at the same time.

In recent years the Gunners have been operated on a limited transfer budget and are unlikely to change following the COVID-19 epidemic.

An independent analysis conducted by the Arsenal Supporters’ Trust, published last week’s estimates that the club is now set to lose £ 144 million for the 12 months ending May 31, 2020.

Add to that an additional £ 20m for Nicolas Pepe’s £ 72m transfer and a significant percentage of William Saliba’s £ 27m commission that is deducted from next season’s accounts, the Gunners are unlikely to make it big business this summer.

As a result, loan and swap transactions appear to be the way to go.

The general feeling among many Arsenal fans is that a midfielder should be a priority for football chief Raul Sanellhi this summer and Thomas Partey happens to be heavily tied to a move.

Next on the list would be a new striker and Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic is a name that has been mentioned a lot in the past few weeks.

Having said that, an Arsenal fan has tracked how the Gunners could sign both players in a limited market.

“Lacazette for Partey straight swap and Luka Jović on loan,” wrote @EduardoHagn on Twitter. “What a nice way to move in a limited market. Come on, @Arsenal!”

The real radiance of this theory is that Arsenal’s millions would save.

The present value of Partey (via transfermarkt) is £ 36 million, but reportedly has a release clause of £ 45 million in his contract with Atletico Madrid, while Jovic has a value of £ 28.8 million.

£ 73.8 million would be saved if Arsenal listened to the aforementioned supporter and were able to make a brilliant double hit.
