HATEM ABD ELHAMED is facing an injury in the Betfred Cup.
The Celtic defender suffered a groin injury in the 2-1 victory of the Europa League against Lazio on Thursday.
Elhamed will miss the Hoops & # 39; Premiership clash with Motherwell today and could miss weeks.
He now has a race against time to be fit for the Hampden final on December 8 with Rangers.
Elhamed posted on Instagram that he received "bad news" yesterday after testing his groin area.
He wrote: "Bad news this morning, but I will be stronger again.
"Thank goodness always."
The defender will also finish Israel's upcoming qualifiers for Euro 2020 against Poland and northern Macedonia.
