Dan learned about Kaya’s gruesome past after receiving an old news print. He then dug up his research before running into an old interview with his mother, who explained that Kaya would be given a new identity upon her release from a safe home for children.
The end of the episode saw Kaya panic as she suspected that someone from her past had been able to track her down.
