The new Call of Duty will arrive in the fall and we already know which studio is developing it

Many rumors have circulated about the following Call of Duty, so many will be happy to know that we finally have something official. What happens is that Activision Blizzard finally confirmed that the game will arrive this year and has already said which studio will be responsible for its development.

According to Activision Blizzard, the next installment of Call of Duty is being developed by Sledgehammer Games. We remind you that this is the development team that delivered Call of Duty: WWII Y Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

In fact, based on the 3-year development cycle of Call of Duty indicated that the 2020 installment must have been developed by Sledgehammer Games. That said, alleged development issues caused the cycle to change and the most recent Call of Duty outside of Treyarch.

Activision Blizzard also revealed that the next installment in the series is being developed for next-gen platforms. So you should expect it to have features that are made possible by the power offered by the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5. Sadly, no more has been said about it.

Likewise, the company pointed out that the new Call of Duty will be integrated with the franchise’s ecosystem. This means that, just as it happened with Modern Warfare Y Black Ops Cold War, the next Call of Duty will have some kind of implementation with Call of Duty Warzone.
